New Life - Transports by Mules

Imagine your sister/wife/Mom/Aunt or cousin wakes up at 3 in the morning to walk for 6 hours one way to get products from the border of Dominican Republic and then walks back with burdens/stuffs on her head for 6 hours.

When she gets home, she breaks down everything in small lots, gets some sleep and leaves the house at 4 AM to walk 3 more hours to reach the market place to resell the products.

They do that twice every week.

This is the situation for women in Marre-Bleue Community, Savanette in Central Haïti. They want to feed and clothe themselves and their loved ones. This is how they provide education for them and meet their medical needs.

Challenges:

- Strong winds

Health issues:

Headache, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, anemia, dizziness, dehydration, weakness, and more.

Purchase Transport Mules

The initiative is to purchase transport mules to assist the women and help the community grow.

A good mule is strong enough to put an end to such misery and suffering.

With your help, the women and their families can have a better life.

The price of a good mule is about $1200-1400 - US.

Marche-Canard

The Haiti Evangelical Christian Mission (HECM) is located in the town of Marche-Canard, the capital of the Gascogne Community, which is just outside the city of Mirebalais. Gascogne has a population of over 60,000 people. 

Marche-Canard's people are very loving and friendly. Unfortunately there is a very large community of non-belivers and an influence of Voodoo in the surrounding areas. 

God is definitely at work in the community of believers here in Marche-Canard.  It is the desire of this church to continue to reach these people and bring them to Jesus Christ. The church currently has an attendance of over 500 people and there are 50 affiliated churches in several parts of Haiti under Haiti Evangelical Christian Mission. 

The staff in Marche-Canard include 4 deacons, 2 preachers, and 14 teachers for Sunday school.
